My father found a coin  on a field two weeks ago , i tried to search  it but i couldnt found it
i dont know if its a fake or a real one
It looks like  a roman coin  Denarius quintus marcius Libo
or Denier de Plutia  but is diferent ...i dont know if it is old but it looks like an old coin

Any help will be apreciated....thanks
ps the quality of the pictures is not so good
I tried to make them larger and brighter. Looks like pictures 1 and 3 and 4 above are the same. I do not know about coins that old, but maybe someone will know from these ...

My interpretation, for what it is worth, is first side has an angel with wings riding a chariot behind two horses, running to right, with maybe L·IVLI below. Other side has someone wearing a winged helmet, facing right. But again maybe someone knows what it is. Welcome to the site.  :)

Still looking for anything that resembles what it might be, and I agree there are similar coins but not facing the right way or exactly the same images - so far. I found a page, below, that says the second image above may either be Caesar or Mars. Also it has a longer lettering below the chariot - the one below has lettering  L·IVLI·L·F  on it. So it is not like yours, just it has some information. Click to enlarge ...

P.S. Also found this site with lots of similar images (across 8 pages) on it ...

P.P.S. On that site -
the winged helmet image is given Roma name
the chariot with 2 horses is called a biga (3 = triga, 4 = quadriga)
the chariot rider given Victory or Sol or Pax or Juno Regina name, and a few others.

I don't know if this is any help but the design looks to be too crude to be Roman. I have been looking through my 44th edition Spink and the design is typical of earlier Celtic coinage with the head on the obverse and the horses on the reverse. Have a look at this link to Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celtic_coinage
Although quite what an early Celtic coin would be doing in a Romanian field...?
Just because you can't see it ... doesn't mean it isn't there - Anon.

I wish to thank  the people that tried to help me, taking in account that the zone where i found the coin is an ex roman  province 105-106ad i thought it is a roman coin, ...it could be everything ...who knows
IS THIS ONE ?
