Hello, I would like to know the Grade and Value of this coin.
Looks VF to me which Krause states $60.00, but Im unsure if the discoloratrion affects value, and grading .Personally I like the patine, but I also know some collectors dont like it.
VF looks about right to me.

This coin/token was discussed here on Numista some time ago (don't scroll down, the link will take you to the right post). From there you have a link to a much longer discussion on the French side.

for what it is worth, I like the patina - I think it adds value.

VF details to me. Patina is perfectly fine as long as it is natural and not artificial patina. Patina affecting "eye appeal' only becomes very important in higher grades above MS 60 and is one of four factors attributing to the final grade as far as the professional grading services are concerned.https://www.ngccoin.com/price-guide/world/martinique-franc-km-41-1897-1922-cuid-1201736-duid-1438309

Thanks to all for the info I received. I bought it for $16.00, as the seller is old school, and only is interested in collecting U.S. coins.
