Official. South Sudan is the newest country.
Are you sure??
Isn't it just Sudanese Dinar 1992-2006 KM# 112-121?  It looks just the same...
I know that South Sudan issued banknotes, but coins also?  How do they look like?

I know south Sudan is an official country, not sure about their coins.
Have a look at this thread recently posted:

I think the eBay listing(s) you're referring to are misleading at best and at worst downright fraudulent :x

As far as I know they still use the Sudan coins in South Sudan, and I am afraid the seller will sell you Sudan coins and is " kind of correct" as the coins are also used in South Sudan

:D Yeah, Montenegro is clever!
As far as I know, these days South Sudan uses only banknotes - as Belarus, but unlike the last, it doesn't has even official commemorative coins.
For countries now doesn't have their own currency or coins at all - you have Zimbabwe, El Salvador and Montenegro, but they all did had it once...
