Would you pay that amount of money for and coin, BUT, pay only that small amount of postage.
At that price, I would expect the postage to at least reflect value, therefore would want them sent by special delivery of some kind.
As for the coins themselves, they only look like circulation coinage to me and I have a couple of them, so unless they state why they are rare, they are valued at £12.00
It never ceases to amaze me what some people will try to sell circulation coinage for.
They always have the edge writing "upside down", to help jusify the price.
Personally I agree with Coinman, £12 the lot. I've collected these from my change, and in better condition too.
If you really want them to complete a collection then fine, but paying over £20 would be criminal.
Although they are now getting a little more difficult to find, they are not worth much more than face value, unless there is something really unusual about them, which again, I would have made sure that was my main part of the description.
I believe the seller has "Kew Gardens" syndrome.
If a Kew Gardens 50pence is selling for over £200.00, (400 times it's face value), then they can list these coins for many times their face value.
These are so rare he has 3 to sell.
I love the comments "The value nowadays is £1500 in the market", "I’m selling 3 for £2500 or £1000 each" clearly he meant to say "The value nowadays still around a £1 and I'm taking the p**s"
