Information :

• This type was updated from  the previous design type, with lighter blue background - see links.
• The letter prefix of this type is the same as the previous type, the letter  (ص) from Prefix 141 to 459 which is the last print of this denomination dated 28/12/2008.
• The serial of each prefix has 7 digit number from 1 to 9,999,999 
• To know the date of the notes from 1985 to 1999 you have to follow this example
                                                                                                 (Y DD MM Y) ٨٠٤٠٤٥ = 804045 = 04.04.1985
• This type is considered the last issued banknote for the 25 piastres.

Artistic Design Features 

• Sayeda Aisha Mosque 

It is a mosque in Cairo, Egypt, that contains the tomb of a known female scholar Aisha bint Ja'far Al-Sadiq . It is located outside Citadel Square on a similarly named street. She was a pious and God-fearing worshipper. and lived in Egypt where she was greatly revered. She died in 145 AH (481 AD).

When Salahuddin al-Ayyubi ruled Egypt, he ordered the construction of a madrasah next to the shrine. The structure was restored and took its current form in 1762 AD by Prince AbdelRahman Katkhuda.

• The Eagle _{Arab Republic of Egypt Coat of Arms}

Since 1984 the Eagle was used as the coat of arms of Egypt and was used in the Egyptian flag instead of the  . falcon. This is one of the major differences between this type of banknote and its earlier type,  see links.
