It is a contemporary counterfeit in gilding metal plated copper of a Spanish 10 Escudos coin in gold from 1868. Differences with the base type:
- Much lower quality engraving.
- Lettering obverse:
- “↊¯ᗡ” instead of “2A.”,
- “C·” instead of “G·”,
- “ƆONST” instead of “CONST”,
- thicker.
- Reverse:
- “S” in “10 ES” is too large and too high, and the bottom dot is missing,
- “N” in “ESPAÑAS” without a tilde,
- 🟌 larger.
The main example on the page has two holes made after minting.
