Hi,

I have recently requested to update / improve current photo on this coin - https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces1204.html.

However, my request was rejected as photos were not large enough, what is the ideal size of image please as i am unsure and hopefully can sort this for future requests.

Many thanks,
Matt
Were your photos rejected by the site or the referee?
Here it says 8MB maximum, so any size up to that I guess >

Can add your photos in a reply and maybe I can crop them, if they are not already.

The reason for refusal was the original photos were larger, many thanks.
I am more interested in the quality of details not to big not to large for user pictures most often between 1000-1500p. So I would have green lit your pictures because even when you blow them up to the size of the current one there are way more details to see.

Is there a reason for the small size?

I’m not sure - these were the original photos but I used a software to remove the background.
Then use these for your 2nd try:

The modification is made with your signature. :)
Too bad the size of the reverse does not allow it to be enlarged by clicking on it. :(

It could be that the miniature was uploaded instead of the original but this would be strange.
A file error is possible: this also happened to me even though I renamed them :o
Your two images are each 1000x1000 (118Ko) while in the catalog the reverse is 200x200 (8.06 Ko)

The images are enlarged by clicking on them only if they are greater than 250x250 pixels regardless of their weight in KB, MB or GB
