I just wanted to let friends and fellow collectors know that I've been quite sick for the past few weeks and I'm currently convalescing / opting out of life for a while. It wasn't the Bat Soup Flu, we have had a slow waste leak for an unknown amount of time which was undetected until we laid hardwood floors which promptly warped. Turns out we've been breathing toxic black mould spores for a long time.
So almost everything is in storage including the bulk of my collections and the house is off limits until it's dried out and the builders have done their stuff. Luckily we have a granny flat built on the back so we're not homeless!
At some point soon I'll be back and answering a whole lot of unread messages and wrapping up a few swaps etc. I can reassure anyone with an ongoing swap that I've received all outstanding parcels, even some delayed by months so we're all good and please don't worry.
Can't do much in the way of swapping until I regain some energy and lebensraum, maybe another week or so. In the meantime, love and miss y'all.
Phil
Non illegitimis carborundum est. Excellent advice for all coins.

Luckily you laid those hardwood floors. Who knows how much longer you would have inhaled that toxic stuff. Take the time to recover optimally, we're not running away.

My dear Phil, so sorry to hear of your troubles and pleased you are on the mend. Take all the time you need, the coins and collectors will be here when you are ready to return, which will be all the better for the waiting. Be well and stay strong, my friend.
Just because you can't see it ... doesn't mean it isn't there - Anon.
Phil, Real sorry to hear about your troubles. Seems 1 thing after another. You know Phil, you have 3 things going for you, a strong personality ,a positive attitude, and a loving wife. Good ammo for the fight. I would think that the "god of troubles" must be running out of things to throw at you 2.
Hopefully ,you and your wife dont have any long-term health issues because of this. I know this sounds cliche, but if I can do anything to ease the pain, let me know.
Ill jump in the car and head on down.
Phil, I hope you a speedy recovery and even speedier return to the Forum and Numista. Your posts are always insightful and usually a bit entertaining. Get well soon!
Hi there, hope you get well soon and those mould hope they died off and does not bite onto any collections.
