I highly doubt it is original.
Reeded edges seems wrong, more than likely a silver plated brass copy. Real Yen edge looks like this
Crude low quality Chinese fake, probably not silver and simulated wear.

Tweetybird your Numista account is off to a poor start with two threads showing bad Chinese
fakes from some dodgy market.

One more and I think a ban is in order mods.
I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

Oh come on, I was ripped of with fakes when o was new to it all, I'm sure many others were too. Going around banning people is a bit much.
good advice: if you want to go buying silver coins, always carry a magnet en learn the ping-test!

This one is getting old and starting to remind me of a certain French member that thought she owned the site. Maybe someone should give him a few days of being muted to think about how he is treating other members here.

Cyber bullying does not make anyone great, you have wanted to ban and mute me twice now and here I sit in the sunshine posting. Interesting how I post many times with images of high quality and genuine coins along with many constructive threads, whilst you addition to the boards - nothing.

Maybe we should ban you, at least the people posting fake coins contribute something.

Cass Taylor was one of the greatest posters ever.

As for me getting old - ever heard of a book, that is how I know about fake coins and genuine ones. I actually do a lot ofreading and research before I buy my coins and then more about their context.

Sue me for being academic, yet I know you will instantly strike back at me over my typos and grammar errors in my posts. Again this is a lack of computer and keyboard skills, not knowledge.

Why ban someone for asking about coins, makes no sense lol.
When I first got into coins, It never slipped into my mind that there were fake coins until I found one.
