My best guesses are that it is something from the Indian Princely States? Maybe paisa or 1/2 paisa? Any help is appreciated!!!

Mass: 2.99 g
Diameter: 16mm

Try this one...

India Princely States for sure...

You can immediately see your coin is from Jaipur because of that Jhar leaf (symbol of Jaipur) in the red rectangle.
Your coin is indeed 1/2 Paisa KM# 176 (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces49943.html) but unfortunately your date is off flan.
This is not KM# 176 as KM# 176 is in the name of George VI
Your coin is in the name of Queen Victoria and so it is KM#129

The KM# 129 is not yet in our catalog, so marshman1113 you can add your coin to our catalog if you want, using this form: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/contributions/nouveau.php?type=coin

@Parimal: Is "in the name of Queen Victoria" written in the same place as "in the name of George VI" is written? Because that space is partly off flan and the rest is very worn. The only thing I can see is a dot (first picture, red arrow), which I thought was part of "in the name of George VI" (second picture, green arrow).
And in Krause "in the name of Queen Victoria" is also off flan. Can you point out what you can read of "in the name of Queen Victoria" on marshman1113's coin?

Thanks for the help, everyone.

@Essor Prof: I'm not sure if I'm convinced it is KM# 129. I have been trying to find examples online of the #129 Victoria but all I could find is the image I have posted below from an auction site that labels the coin as KM#129 (I've posted it below as well) but I see similarities between that coin, mine, and the George VI version so I'm not even convinced the example I found online is a #129 Victoria.

I wish I could find examples of what the section of the flan looks like on my coin on a confirmed Victoria example for comparison. I have posted a new pic of my coin below that highlights the region I'm looking at. Any opinions are appreciated!

@Essor Prof and @marshman1113
I had attributed it to Queen Victoria because I thought that the section pointed out by @Essor Prof does not looked to have the character 'jim' (ج) of George.
But looking at the latest pictures from @marshman1113, I think I was wrong.

@marshman1113, below is an image of Jaipur mohur in the name of Queen Victoria highlighting the section where the name is,

I wasn't convinced either because in your first picture I saw that dot which is part of "in the name of George VI" while there is no dot in "in the name of Queen Victoria". But Parimal is an unbelievable expert and he can effectively read the language while I can only observe and compare. So I gave him without any hesitation the benefit of my doubt. But your latest picture is much more clearer and there you can see the bow of character 'jim' (ج) of George (in your green oval) which makes your coin indeed KM# 176.

By the way, those other pictures from that auction are obviously not KM# 129. The character 'jim' (ج) of George is almost completely visible.

@Parimal: I have the Standard Guide to South Asian Coins and Paper Money, 1st edition and the 1/2 Paisa Queen Victoria is not in there. I suppose you have the 2013 Indian Edition? And if so, is the coin in there and is that catalog a big difference with the 1st edition?

Thanks for the replies everyone, and @Essor Prof and @Parimal you've been a huge help! Really interesting stuff. I'll know who to go to if I encounter another Princely States coin.
@Essor Prof - I have the Standard Guide to South Asian Coins and Paper Money - 2013 Indian Edition and it has the 1/2 Paisa Queen Victoria coin.
I do not have the 1st edition so can't compare, but I think somewhere in the preface it was mentioned that the India section in earlier book was around 400 pages while this new 2013 Indian Edition has around 540 pages

Thanks for the info. The coin section for India, from Mughal Empire till India, Republic is 300 pages in the first edition.
