Catalogues

New to banknotes. Just bought 600 from dealer and trying to catalogue them in Numista. Having done a great deal of coins (Over 10000) I am used to finding values and mintage on line in NGC or numista itself. However banknotes are not that well defined on Numista. Am wondering if there are sites online with that info? (other than buying 3 volumes of banknote catalogues at quite an expense and as time goes by differing values)
Ray Muniak Retired artist/sculptor . 79 years old. 4 children 10 grandchildren 2 great grandchildren. Also worked as a wood patternmaker (Foundry industry) for 27 years before becoming a full time artist.
Go to the Bank Note Museum this is a very useful site ( http://www.banknote.ws/ )
Also World Paper Money ( https://www.thebanknotestore.com/british.html )
I find both very helpful in Identifying Banknotes as recently I added my collection over 1200 Bank Notes to Numista as I had a few Rare ones in my Collection those that weren't listed have been added I hope these Sites help Ian.

The Bank Note Museum is a great start (as pointed out by 'Ian P')

You could also check out Notaphylic Sites link for extra links to the Central Banks, reference sites, books & currency supplies. I have often found the Banknote Index & PMG's Population Reports helpful too.

Enjoy sorting through & cataloguing your massive lot!
