Coin with medeival soldier but no emperor or king image ? [solved]

Hi folks

I have spent a few hours on this but i am an enthusiastic amateur so any help appreciated

Very badly worn round the edges so if there was any detailed inscription it is long gone

Diameter 16 mm
Weight 8.2 G- Given the wear probably closer to 10 originally
Thickness 3.5mm
I believe it is bronze

On close inspection the figure has a pleated tunic and a cape and is carrying a branch. The head gear I cant identify

Only inscriptions are
MI on the left

On the right the five dots are raised points of an M on its side...and possibly a mint mark below

The coin was found in the U.K possibly midlands and has been sitting in a drawer for many years

There appears to be a face in the middle of the rear. Looks like a monkey but I think that is the wear on the high points

Your time and help much appreciated

Mart
