Hi, I'm new to collecting world coins though I have always loved them.

I was at a Flea Market this weekend and a friend of mine who sells there had this HUGE folder he found at a garage sale. It contained over 280 world coins. I bought it from him and am now in the process of cataloging the coins. One highlight was this:

The coin I'm having issues with is from India. It is marked a 1964 2 Naye Paise. But from what I have been able to find out 1963 was the last year for the coin. Any info would be a great help

Nice coins, man!

Well this is the Indian coin you're talking about. It has a die crack on the obverse but it's not really that big of a deal.

What's the date on the German coin? It looks like it's from the German states but the last year is cut off.

The first one is a Polish coin. KM# 177  1 Grosz.

I did not see it yet on Numista.

Nice one :-)
Thanks for the information and yes the first coin is 1790 Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth 1 Grosz - Stanisław II August Poniatowski KM# 177. The guy that had the collection sold it to me for $45.00 - I think I did OK ... lol

If you have a couple of other coins like this Polish one among the 280 pieces in the album, you sure did OK.
I collect coins and tokens which circulated in Africa from 18th century to 2000. I sell about 7000 illustrated world coins from http://www.avscoins.com.
23 of the coins are silver. If I just sold them for silver weight I would make money...lol though I have decided to build on the collection rather than selling them.
