Again the same problem as with the 2 & 5 cents, this time with a 1983 coin.

Can't see what the problem is.

New Zealand 1983 10 cent coin was only released in the year sets. Bu & Proof

25,000 mintage in the Uncirculated (BU) Set

18,000 mintage in the Proof Set

Please explain what the issue is with this 10 cent coin only issued in these 2 sets and only noted in Numista in these 2 sets?

my coin is NOT in the set, and I don't know from which set it came ......

So you are unable to tell a proof coin from an uncirculated coin? Really?

Proof 1983 NZ 10 cent

Uncirculated 1983 NZ 10 Cent

They look quite different to me I must say. Maybe you should pay a visit to specsavers? ;)

I can always guess ... as said before who cares if the catalog is accurate?

The catalogue is is accurate, very accurate. It is exactly the same as coins from other countries that issue proof coins and uncirculated coins in sets.

I really don't know why you are having a problem with New Zealand coins being listed on numista exactly as they are issued.

Ok so you might have a loose coin that has escaped a set.

I have got coins that have escaped sets and I list them on the approriate mintage lines with a personal comment such as "Escaped from Set".

But you can always guess I suppose?

I have no problems with the coins from N-Z at all, believe me.

I have a problem with the sets and coins out of their sets from ANY country, and that's what I discuss about. I say add a year line for those and keep the lines of the sets, bacause needed for collectors down under. Some of us with loose coins will be happy and you still have your sets, so who is loosing with that solution, nobody!

So let me get this right .... you want to add a Year Mintage line for coins that have escaped from Sets in years that no circulation coins were released?

For instance does that include all the German 10 euro cents that were only issued in Bu & Proof Sets between 2004 and 2016?

You want to create separate lines for all the German 10 cent coins from all those years that escaped into circulation?

I have a feeling you won't get what you want somehow.

Hi Mike
you might be right and I might live with it. It's all a matter of taste and form.
take care
