How do I catalog my coin to Numista if I know only the type and cannot read date and mintmark?

Hi,

I have a question. I have a bunch of Polish-Lithuaninan Commonwealth coins which are in rather bad condition but still I can distinguish them by general type, these are Solid coins:

1) with knight rider type - KM#50
2) with Polish eagle type - KM#110

I can' read neither any dates on them nor any mintmarks or mintmasters' initials to distinguish between them by mint and date. My question is as follows: how do I put them to Numista into My Collection records if I do not have this info? Is there any general way of cataloging such coins into your collection to keep track of them? Any help will be welcome :)

Thank you!

Alex
For now there is no option for just a type entry.
If you can't identify a coin partially or completely there is this pagehttps://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces43609.html

Thank you so much! :) I have requested to add a new line for Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth here at https://en.numista.com/forum/topic105546.html#p872158
Or simply choose a line with the highest "percentage" of owners as there are more chances that your coin is of that type.
Thank you! A good idea :)
... And on this entry make private comment "Unreadable year".
Yep, correct, sounds like a plan :)

Also I think we could make an improvement to the catalog by asking to implement a technical check-box for every coin type in the catalog for such not fully identifiable coins. It is quite often that you can attribute the coin in poor condition to some particular coin type except that you cannot determine e.g. the year of issue (the date may be unreadable and worn out or not enough digits are visible to read the date correctly) or a mintmark is not visible/not identifiable for the same reason as poor condition. In such a case user could mark the coin within the corresponding coin type and be happy )) Attribution of a coin type is also very important and you could see in your collection lists in Numista right away that you have this coin type covered in your collection despite its poor condition. What do you think? Has anyone proposed it yet as an improvement suggestion?

Thank you!

Alex
I had a fairly equal proposal over coins with errors, no reply till today.
