Split Free discussion forum

If possible,
May I suggest for a new forum called 'Numismatic free discussion'
And let 'Free discussion' be there only for non numismatic discussions

​To group all the "Coins in your collection..." type post together away from other Free discussion non-coin posts. I think perhaps it's better stated as "Let's create a new forum entitled Free Discussion Not Related to Coins forum."

Man, this is a tough topic, I have not decided yet, but wanted to at least write out some thoughts.

I understand this is a coin site and all things should relate to that, Im sure over the years many of you have seen additions, a coin site that added:
Tokens, then Exonumia, then Bills, etc, (not in correct historical order)
and Ive seen forums migrate to new ones, like Popular Coin contest. etc.

So, Im really torn. I mean if you literally read the description, Free Discussion, should be just that, Free...

But, I do digress,,, even within the rules the Free forum can be misused, misguided and misleading.

I also do feel "the show me your coins" threads, are more a type of Numismatic Question, and additions, etc, probably more fit in a Numismatic Style category .

I think those threads are useful though, maybe we could put them to better use, say vote the best of those coins to showcase in the actual page of the coins. Like this, I would love that feature. to actually see all that work, being put to use, and I dont have to look through a long thread to see a 1977 USA quarter, I can go to that page and do so.


So I think making a Forum category for Best Coins of: (would better benefit Numista)

2018
..
1977


and just let Free discussion be junk
