Old copper (?) coin [solved]

3 posts • viewed 99 times
Good evening,

I have another old coin, which I am not able to identity:
  • 2.7 gramm
  • 17.6 x 16.2 mm diameter
  • not magnetic - probably copper

90°

Has anyone a clue what kind of coin this is? Origin, age, ...

Thanks a lot for your help!
I don't recognize it, but the serpent in the coat of arms is a symbol of the Visconti family (Milan), so that might be one place to look.

Edit: Yes, probably Milan, maybe with legend (MEDIO)LANI reverse around the shield. I don't see this obverse in the Numista listings, though. WIll try to get a look into CNI.
Very true - thanks.
I found this one:
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces160165.html
which shows a very good fit.

I guess that's it! Thanks a lot for your help!
