Up to and included 2017 the 5 cents coin has the original design with the KM#183, but in 2018 the design has changed as you can see above, but since KM doesn't attribute KM# any longer, Numista is stuck. I suggest to use the original KM# and then applying the rules for small design changes to create the NC#183.1 (NC = Numista Coin #) for the new coin.

What do you think, should we take the numbering into our own hands, or just let everything be as is?

I suggest keeping the refference to KM cat. number (where there IS one). Maybe something like KM#183N1?

That's a bad choice. Only KM can assign KM# reference numbers. The only options are leaving as it is or Sjoelund's option.
Can't we leave the catalogue number blank for now? Weve done that for some banknotes where the same problem applies.

So far Krause has ignored the issue. The current page for Greece KM# 183 has the type going to 2024 with no mention of the design change. (In the same way they have ignored the differences in the FG initials or wide/close AM in the Lincoln Memorial cent.)

There is a minor problem with the graphic showing the details – it says the angles on the “2” are straight/rounded when it should talk about the angles on the “5”.

Thanks, it's now modified, it was a copy-paste error.

I have to see if it's also valid for the 1 cent coin.

The one cent N#113 is the same, so here it comes:

The easiest way to see the difference is in the bold versus fine lines!

Wrong title. Also, time to ditch the NC#'s.

Thanks
