oynbcn Hi all, some Spanish coins with a face value of 2000 Pesetas are commemorative circulation coins, as well indicated in the last issue of them, the 2001 "Last issue of pesetas". N#14673 These coins are: Year 1994 "Bank of Spain":N#7611 Year 1995 "Presidency of the council of the European Union"N#9094 Year 1996 "Goya"N#9260 Year 1997 "Cervantes"N#13634 Year 1998 "Philip II & Escorial"N#9261 Year 1999 "Xacobeo"N#19499 Year 2000 "Charles V"N#9169 You can see the evidence in that document of the Bank of Spain (sorry, it is in spanish)https://www.bde.es/f/webbde/INF/MenuVertical/BilletesYMonedas/ficheros/20-11-18_Folleto_canje_monedas_pesetas.pdf
The “evidence” points that these coins are not circulation coins (Category II) but a special Category of 2000 pesetas bullion coins (category III)
