8 Doubles Guernsey 1934: Question about the 9 in the date.

4 posts
I have this 8 doubles coin, the 9 is not in line with the other numbers. Does anyone else own this coin? Is your 9 in line with the other numbers?
I have compared with my 1920 and it is different. Some help on this would be good...

Both are 8 Doubles and 1934 and have the same 9 number - so is probably the way they were.

It's fairly common for numbers and letters to be a bit out like that; it is partly what makes so many different varieties. I think it is worth looking out for a 1934 which does not have an out of sync 9.

The guy at this site might be able to give you some more info http://jerseycoins.com/
Thanks guys. This information is very useful. I didn't think it was anything special.
