In the 15th month of the COVID-19 pandemic...

1,890 new users joined Numista in May 2021, increasing the total member tally by 1.2%.

In comparison, Numista added 1,852 new members in May 2020 and 1,713 new members in May 2019.

This May's new members added 59,000 coins into their collections.

73% of May's new users have not yet entered a coin into their Numista collection.

1,854 of May's new members selected a nation. 109 nations are represented this month. 366 are American, 256 are French, 218 are Indian, 148 are Filipino, and 98 are British.

36 users from May still have not selected a nation.

There were notable surges in memberships from Colombia and Nepal,

Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahamas, China, Cuba, Ecuador, Ghana, Iran, Iraq, Jamaica, Jordan, Kosovo, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Maldives, Malta, Martinique, Mauritius, Reunion, Senegal, Taiwan, Togo, Trinidad & Tobago, Tristan da Cunha, Tunisia, Uganda and Yemen each gained one new member.

Hungary passed Greece for 25th rank.

Of the top 30 nations, the Philippines grew the fastest in May (3.9% increase), while Greece grew the slowest (0.4%). The USA grew by 1.3% and France grew by 1.1%.

I browsed Numista for nearly 6 months before I joined. I took a while to add my coins.
I wonder if this is the norm.
Takes a while to get the bearings right.
