im in London at the moment and planning to go to the market on Saturday 1st jan. They are open according to their website on that day.
i have a bunch of 50p and £2 commems of the circulation variety that I need to get to fill the gaps in my want list. Would I find those at the trader tables at reasonable prices. I’m alright for them to be VF with a slight premium to face value although I realize some of them will have a much higher asking price. But want to avoid bunc coin cards
In my opinion only buy them only if the price is reasonable because I’ve seen some 50ps and £2 coins albeit at my local markets and antique stores in Lincolnshire priced ridiculously high. Other than that avoid them.
As far as I know there is several coin shops in London to buy those coins your looking for and in extreme cases you can go to any bank and ask for 2 bags of 50ps (£20) to search through for the commemorative and lower mintage years. Or from my experience (which has paid off quite well) the vending machine trick.
Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.
Thanks! However I dont think most banks will allow me to withdraw cash since I dont have a bank account in this country. either ways, don't want to take the headache of then getting rid of the stuff I don't want. My want list is relatively scarcer varieties with a lower chance in finding in just a couple bags
I did do some shopping at coin craft though this morning. very few remaining to finish off for my pre decimal type series from V to E2

Interesting coins from coin crafts website (I might buy some later). Anyway other than that the only thing else is the machine trick that I mentioned earlier which I did get some finds most of them pictured below:

Nice finds. But I don’t use cash at all, still got a few canadian dollars on me. Even on the tube, I’m just tapping my visa card
I’m not driving, so I suppose my coming across machines are minimal
these were my purchases from coin craft this time round

Thanks, I’m lucky that the second scarcest circulating 50p (not including 1992/1993 and 1985 50p which are much lower minted) after Kew in a vending machine.
Also I hope to see your purchases from the market in the January additions.
