Authentic or copy Sasanian coins

5 posts • viewed 250 times
Guys,

Bought some Sasanian (most likely Khusrau II) off ebay from a reputable seller based in UK. Competition was tough but I managed to buy them anyway and everything worked well and I have received the coins too.
I cannot weight the coins but their size is only 30mm which is a 2mm smaller than what they are supposed to be according to: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces33699.html
Also the coins look too "clean" to me as if they have been forged recently and I do not see any sign the coins have been hammered.
Any way to know if they are authentic or copy?

Check it when is silver they are not fake
Coin size shouldn't be a concern as the link that you provided states that, "There are variations of diameter from 26/28/30/32 millimeters".
