I would like to start a new monthly forum post series to share my personal achievements during the month. Many people are also doing great things on Numista, and it would be great if you could also share what you did in the replies.
In February:
I started working on Numista as a full time job.
The project for the 2022 Numista tokens progressed well: the modelling of the design is completed, the online shop is developed, everything is arranged for the fulfillment, and I'm eager to receive the first samples (pictures from the mint below).
Thanks to a partnership with Heritage Auctions, their sold auction lots are automatically added to the past sales section on the Numista world coin pages.
Some more projects are on their way (additional language for the website, a full time contractor for the Numista catalogue, a new advertising partnership), I'll be able to tell more in the coming months.
You may also see the list of changes to the Numista software in the release notes.
And you, what are your Numista or personal achievements of this month? I'd love to know!
Can you tell us more about
"The paper proposal that Stratocaster and I submitted for the XVI International Numismatic Congress (INC 2022) was accepted."
Just curious what that means or what the story behind this is.
If you like coins, medals and tokens with ship motives follow my new instagram account with regular updates @numisnautiker
From time to time I sell some coins on Ebay make sure to follow me @apuking on Ebay.
So I want to know what would be needed to be done here, so the sale gets automatically added there. Or does that work in a completely different way than I thought anyway?

There will be a conference organised by the International Numismatic Council in Warsaw in September. Stratocaster and I answered to their call for paper, by submitting an abstract with title "Numista: building a collaborative universal numismatic database". Submissions were reviewed by the congress' committee, and we were accepted. Now we need to write the paper and I will present the paper at the congress.
Quote: "Trooper8"I would also love to know how that Heritage past sale attribution works. What are the things that need to be there, so the sale can be matched to the correct Numista entry?
The Heritage Auctions lots are matched to the Numista catalogue based on the issuer, the reference number (mostly KM#) and the date. If no match can be found, the lot is just ignored. There is still room to improve the mapping; for example I would like to try using the search by image; or allow manual mapping (like we used to have for eBay sales).
For the specific coin you mentioned, the reference Delm-1154 is missing in the file I received from Heritage Auctions, so the coin could not be mapped.

Might be a job for the robot, to periodically check for un-mapped coin sales and compare the new pages added to Numista.

Is there a limit to the number of auction listings that can appear at the end of a given page? There are already 10 past auctions on the Edward VII penny page and it just means we have to scroll further down to modify the page. Also, it would make sense for the older auctions perhaps to be removed from the list as they become less relevant?
Just because you can't see it ... doesn't mean it isn't there - Anon.
We hit more than 30,000 unique pages on the banknote site in a very short period of time. New page requests and edits are a daily thing. I have even noticed that we receive new page requests within hours of press releases from dedicated members here on Numista.
