Hi
When editing a post yesterday I found that the hidden link feature does not work. When I copy a URL and paste it into the box and change the name to something more suitable, instead of appearing, nothing happens.

I have observed this both on my mobile and laptop.
Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.
Hello Worldwide collection,
I was not able to reproduce the issue (or maybe I misunderstood your problem). Could you please provide a screenshot and let me know which OS and browser you are using?
Hi
When I include links in a post sometimes I leave them as is but on occasion it feels appropriate to hide the link under a different name.

For example
Paris mint
https://www.monnaiedeparis.fr/fr

When I press ok it should appear but it doesn’t.

I observed it not working with links from Numista such as a coin page or a tread and third part sites.

Paris mint
Numista coin page
Numista thread

Everything works ... can't confirm.

Maybe it's the button I have never pressed it, I either write the link direktly in BB-code or do the old CTRL+L then CTRL+V then hint enter.
What I find strange is that the link in your screenshot still contains the https://, for me this get deleted directly after I paste the link.
Paris mint

Works fine for me doing exactly what you did. (In Firefox)
Paris mint

and now in Edge.

Might be an Apple thing.
Hello,
I made a fix for this issue. Could you please try again?

Now the entire box has disappeared leaving just a white haze and a blue line, which you can’t remove unless the page is refreshed.

Hello,

I preferred to move to a more modern message editor. It should fix the issue with links and improve the ease-of-use (drag-and-drop images to the message, emojis, multi-level lists, etc.)

Please let me know if you encounter any issue with the new editor (you can send me a PM if you can't post on the forum).

I just tried to past a url into a post and it became plain text.  Why should I have to use the link button to make it a link?  That makes it double the effort.

Example:

https://en.numista.com/catalogue/index.php?e=etats-unis&r=&ct=coin&im1=&im2=&tb=y&cat=y&ru=&ca=3&no=&v=&i=&b=&d=&u=&a=1800-1845&dg=&m=&f=&t=&w=&mt=&g=&se=&c=&wi=&sw=

You can make a link clickable just by pressing Space, Enter or Shift+Enter after a link.

I also made a change so that the link becomes clickable after you send the message, in case you didn't press Space, Enter or Shift+Enter after a link.

Solved one issue but created another,

with the prevous one before the issue came along you could shorten it down.

For example instead of posting the full url you could instead put “take a look at this topic recently posted to Numista website”.

Plus are the emojis under agreement because they look virtually the same as Apples emojis.

Yes like that.

To transform some text into a link, select your text, click the “link” icon (left of the smiley icon) and enter the URL.

The emojis are standard Unicode emojis. Apple devices will show them with the Apple design, Android devices will show them with the Android design, etc.

It seems it doesn’t work on mobile.

What do you mean by “it doesn’t work on mobile”?

Can you see the link button?

What happens when you select some text and click that button?

hmm….

works on my mobile

Does this change to the reply box create strange characters - for me …

I have seen those strange vertical rectangles with a cross through a few times on here tonight.

Ok I’ve figured out how to use it now.

Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.

Spelling - when adding a picture, the box below says

Images are being uploading…

and should be

Looks like someone has now corrected that. Thanks.
