Modification Request Appeals [solved]

Would it be possible to have an extra “Status” on the “Modification Requests” page that would show requests that you had submitted an Appeal against?

At the moment if you do submit an Appeal there is no confirmation after you have submitted it. So you just wonder what is happening with it, or even wonder 10 days later if you actually did submit one.

Maybe even a separate page showing your appeals and when you click on it it will show what your appeal was about.

I have not done an appeal yet.  It doesn't change back to Pending status?  I'm curious how the referees see it on their side then.

I appealed on rejection soon after the appeal process was created. The request didn't change to Pending immediately but did later – likely after someone reviewed my appeal and found some merit.

I like the suggestion to show the status. When I appealed there were two rejections to parallel changes to two listings and it would have been nice to know which I appealed. (I just waited until the appeal process ended, and then submitted the other manually.)

Correct, I've done a few appeals, I got NO notification, still shows rejected. I wish someone would respond or at least let me know it was re-reviewed.

A status of the appeal itself would be awesome.

It will be the same as when a referee sends back a request to to requestee for improvement it just gets send to an admin instead of a normal user. At least a normal user still has the old request for 30 days or so to look at, I as a referee I don't know how many resend request even exist (most users never look, I guess and they will sit in their inbox forever while I slowly forget them 😅).

I see we now have an extra status on the My modification requests page. “APPEAL”. This is awesome so thankyou Xavier. 

It seems that it is not retrospective though as I have 17 Appeals in that were submitted prior to the update. Some of them are almost 3 weeks old now. I was wondering what was happening with them.

Hello,

There is now an “appeal” status for requests for which you appealed the referee's decision. I also improved the process to handle appeals, which should make the appeal process more efficient.
The appeals submitted before the change will be migrated to the new process in the coming days.
