Royal Bank of Scotland Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee note?

8 posts • viewed 169 times

In 2002 the Royal Bank of Scotland issued a QE II Golden Jubilee 5 pound note, and in 2012 they issued a Diamond Jubilee 10 pound note. Does anyone know if there will be a 2022 Platinum Jubilee note?

No idea.

Aidan.

I'll ask someone who should know.

I would think if there was going to be one it would already be here…I can only guess that with the lead time needed to engrave and design a note, that they were not even thinking about it, since there has never been a royal platinum Jubilee…

I am disappointed that this was overlooked.  I have the amazing Scotland and Jersey notes issued for her Diamond Jubilee…I love them…

Well, the year is not over yet.

I guess not. No one here (UK and Irish collecting community) has heard anything about one.

Unless it has been kept a very close secret, which would not make sense.

Too bad, I doubt there will ever be another opportunity to produce one.

Could make this 2002 commemorative note a little more desirable though.
