I think what more important is the low weight and the wear of the US of A vs. the rest of the coin.

I agree the wear is unusual, but the alignment isn't bad. I've seen a lot of fake 1852-D (Dahlonega Mint) and 1852-C (Charlotte Mint) gold dollar coins, but the Philadelphia Mint coin is usually not counterfeited due to its relatively low value compared to the others.

Your coin is genuine. Heavy wear can easily account for the small weight discrepency and deformation of some of the details but the important details are there and correct. As previously mentioned, this date variant is correct and should be of no concern. This coin was well used but genuine.
