1,820 new users joined Numista in June 2022, increasing the total member tally by 1.0%.

In comparison, Numista added 1,807 new members in June 2021 and 1,598 new members in June 2020.

This June's new members added 63,200 coins into their collections. 25% of new users appear to be active and 11% are not publicly visible.

1,779 of June's new members selected a nation.  118 nations are represented this month. 408 are American, 215 are French, 142 are British, 121 are Indian, 105 are Filipino, and 66 are Canadian.  41 users from June still have not selected a nation.

There were notable surges in memberships from Denmark, Ghana, Luxembourg and Martinique.

The Bahamas, Bhutan, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Botswana, British Virgin Islands, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Estonia, French Polynesia, Gibraltar, Iraq, Jamaica, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Lesotho, Libya, Madagascar, Malta, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Senegal, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Uganda, Venezuela and Yemen each gained one new member.

Slovakia passed Serbia for 41st rank.

Of the top 30 nations, the Philippines grew the fastest in June (1.9% increase), while Switzerland grew the slowest (0.4%). The USA grew by 1.2% and France grew by 0.8%.

It's nice to have an enormous amount of members, but if they are not active, they should be ignored in the total count!

I would like to see the two counts :all in all and active in the last 2 years, I think we all would be surprised.

In September of 2018 around 28% of accounts logged in in the last 365 days but a sizeable portion of those were probably also just visitors (value askers, one-time identification askers as well as spam bots and spam people).

The vast majority of users don't have accounts but use Numista as an online catalog … so the site is well used.

That's a very good statistic, the 704.000 unique visitors tell that our efforts to improve the catalog is a very good investment of time for the coin collecting community as a whole.

In a defined period (1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 1 year …) we can count
the number of 'connections' to the site
among them are 'visitors' who consult, without being able to intervene
and 'members' who have taken the step of registering with username and password
if they do not reveal themselves with them, they are mere visitors, otherwise
they can be 'active' provided they carry out any participatory action on the site: forum, exchange, catalog, etc.
their connection not necessarily involving an activity
for each category the count can be either total or individual per device when the IP address is recorded

The number of active users might go up, since Colnect recently started to demand the provision of your true name (for truly unclear purposes). I was even blocked from my “wish list account” there and now these lads are even demanding I send a copy of personal ID card for them to grant me access. Cannot get crazier than that. They explained on general site, that the move is related to cancelling out scammers (blah-blah). They truly must have some oxymoronic algorithms for determining the profile of scammers or got some juicy funds from who-knows which "government" to spy on people.

I only have (had) wish list on Colnect, just for easier follow up of new entries. So I cannot come up with a reason of being shut out on the basis of being a scammer. They obviously think to know something (even) I do not…
