Unsure if coins / dies or not?

Hi,

I have acquired two new circular items but unsure if these are coins, exonumia, dies or something else?

I have spent some time looking online to try and find out what they are but have not found anything similar. I have also tried the image search on here and that too showed no similar results.

Please see below.

These two images are one “coin”.

This is the other. The reverse of this one is completely flat.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

No idea where you have been looking online, but I found this …

which about halfway down is a picture of your token.

'The Pennadomo Project experience'

This old formerly abandoned village has set about regenerating itself and is piloting the first eco village of its kind in Italy. The founder and main organizer is Barbara Ciarrapico who has set about transforming this small hill-top village into an ecological and self-sustaining tourist destination in the near future. This project will revitalise the area and bring in a lot more tourism, and hopefully put Abruzzo on the world wide map.

Thank you for the info Zac. Good to know where it came from.

It doesn't appear to be on numista currently.

I don't suppose you have any idea on the second item in my original post?

Probably stuck on something, like a wine bottle. Hence no need for anything on the reverse.

Will try to find out where it is the Coat of Arms for.

I wonder, if the OP is really interested….

Very interested. Hence why I took the time to take photos and post on the forum.

I also keep searching online to try and find a result.

What an odd comment to make…

Yes, I was thinking the same. Either stuck to something, or used as a press. I keep thinking it might be a seal for making an impression in wax.

Thanks. Appreciate the help.

Found some extra info on the IKO token. It appears it was purchased for 50 Euros and is made of solid silver. I have weighed it and it is 8g and so about £4 at scrap value. Have no interest in getting rid though and will keep in my collection.

How do I go about having this added to numista? Thank you.

Add: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/contributions/pre_nouveau.php?type=exonumia

but after reading: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/contributions/instructions.php

Yes, found that -  but it doesn't have a section for Exonumia.

Will just try to be mindful of the items under section 1.

Surely you can measure the diameter and thickness?

Also the 50 Euros is not the denomination - just what it was sold for.

See updated listing.

The entire guide applies to all items in the catalogue including exonumia.

Hmm.. Section 3 discussing coins applies to Exonumia and Section 4 discussing Banknotes applies to Exonumia. Good to know.

No no, those are just definitions.  I mean the rest of the guide.  How you describe the items you're putting in the catalog.  That sort of thing.  Those apply to all items.
