Libya 20 Dinars

Hello,

Are there any experts here that collect Libya notes?

I have a question, if you are. Have a look at P67a 2002 commemorative note. There are 44 leaders stood for the photo shot. I can only recognised two of them, and possible three. First is the host, Colonel Muammar Gaddafi and Yasser Arafat. I believe standing next to Arafat (to his right) was Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, President of Tunisia. Does anyone know where I can get a list of all the names of these people attended the conference in 1999?  There are 54 countries in Africa, and South Sudan was not created then. Not all 53 countries are members of the OAU then (not to mention some islands controlled by non-African countries etc). If you know where I can find this info, please feel free to share. I believe this is the only banknote ever issued with so many foreign leaders standing together for a photo. Thanking you in advance.

Kai,

This was taken from a photo at the O.A.U.'s Extraordinary Summit of 6-9 September 1999 - which was held in Sirte, the home town of Muammar Gaddafi.

Somaliland is also a country as well - but not a member of the African Union though, as Somaliland's independence remains unjustly unrecognised by the international community.

Aidan.
