Hi All,
Can anyone please tell me why the above note is now selling it so expensive?
I am aware that only 35,000 pieces were issued, and the lowest quantity ever produced since 2006. I also understand that when a country first producing a commemorative banknote, usually you will find them very popular among the local people, but this note was not Poland's first commemorative note ever issued. Since 2014, Poland has been releasing commemorative banknotes on a yearly basis. In my opinion, 35000 sets is still a lot, and not all the people in Poland (38 million population) would want to get one especially you have to pay 75 zloty for a face value of 20 zloty, unless you are a collector or dealers. I was offered for exchange for my P188A by a Polish collector last year, and when I did a quick search on the Internet and found out that the asking price for this note is way much higher that all other notes issued. Did someone hoarding this series?

Thanks
