Unknown?????? [solved]

When looking at my coin list, where it is stated how many of each type, (silver, copper I nickel ect) I have, I now find I have a coin listed as ‘unknown'.

This seems very strange as the Gibraltar coin, as shown in link above, is copper-nickel.

Can someone please amend this situation please.

Did you mean unknown Coin type?

You are attributed to the picture, did you make this listing?  If so, you forgot to set the type of coin.

Dud I add this coin. Actually no.

When I came to add the coin to my Numista collection, I looked for the listed in the order in which I expected to find it, but it was not there, so I actually added it, but it was rejected as the coin was already listed.

I then went through the whole listing of Gibraltar Crown Coinage series and then found it listed after the double crowns.

Reported this minor error to the referee, but have just checked and it is still in the wrong place.

Should be on page 11, but is actually on page 23.

There is a gold plated version on page 11, so should go before that.

Anyone can help please

I am confused.  When I add this coin to my collection my copper-nickel count goes up by one.  I also get a new coin type of “Unknown.”  That is normal behavior.  How is it that you get a new “Unknown” composition but not an Unknown coin type?  Even on adding a coin with an Unidentified composition it doesn't add “Unknown” composition to the list but just increased the “Other” by one.  Can you post a screenshot of My coins Composition and Coin type?

A sceneshot.

Can you please explain how I do this a not too sure what it involves.

 Like this >

On my computer there is Windows Paint. I open that.

I go to the screen I want to take a ‘picture’ of, and press two keys -

the Ctrl [Control] together with PS [Print Screen] - at the same time.

Which is not literally printing the screen - just capturing an image from it.

Then in Paint I click on Paste and the image is there.

Give it a name to save it under, then it can be cropped and so on - like I did with yours.

What's this discussion about? Like already said multiple times this coin just has no coin type yet.

Change it to circulating- or non-circulating commemorative and the issue is solved.

There are three categories Grades, Compositions and Coin types all three with different phrases that contain coins with missing information.

P.S. also mentioning ‘pages’ is not all that useful because it depends on how many coins per page you have selected as well as by what you are sorting (face value, ruling authority, type, date, reference).

In the past I could have changed it to 5000 and most catalogs would only have a single page (now sadly limited to a max of 200).

Unknown: 1

This is expected since the coin has no type yet, ergo, Unknown.

Slipstreamed

Unknown: 1

This is expected since the coin has no type yet, ergo, Unknown.

So, what can be done about correcting this little error?

When there is a credible source that determines it's type, someone can make an edit and your collection will be automatically adjusted.

Now I am confused. Was coinman's account taken over by somebody? He has a vast catalog contribution history and the answer was stated at least three times already. 😵‍💫

That's what I thought.  Unknown is not showing up as a composition but a coin type.  It's not a bug to be fixed.  I just submitted a CR to make it a Non-circulating coin like the other 2022 ½ crown.

I have just realized that thanks to the above information, I have been talking about the wrong coin.

I see the “Right to Live in Peace” is the coin without a description.

Progress is therefore being made.

I do not know what a CR is but thanks for everyone's help
