Hello, I have been collecting coins with my children's church for about 12 years. Our goal was to obtain a coin from every country! Big goal for small rural town children. We just discovered Numista and started inputting our coins. I started trying to make a list of needed countries by going through the whole list and was shocked at how many there are. The map is looking pretty full. Mongolia is the largest unfilled spot on the map. We have 183 countries filled in so far. The total coin count is just over 2600.  Is there an easier way to show countries for which you don't have coins? We have some unidentified coins. I had purchased a microscope to hook up via USB and it worked for a while but now freezes the computer when we try to use it, I am not savvy enough to know what to do to repair the issue. I was thinking of trying to find another one. Can you recommend one that works well and won't cost a lot? I do not know how to add pictures taken with my cell phone to the site or how to get them on here for help identifying them. Your input on all these matters would be greatly appreciated.

Go to the bottom of the “My Coins” page, click “View the country list with my collection quantities," and then click “from which I don't have” on the “show countries” line.

There is the identification forum and you can include a picture in the dialog box

You should measure a precise diameter and if possible a weight precise at  0.01 g

A cellphone gets a suffisant precise picture (if you do not hold the phone in your hand but that it is placed on a stable support) the you should remove the background :

and crop the picture with any picture software (Picture manager, Paint, etc …)

Thank you for your input. I went to the bottom of the page and was shocked at how many places remain from which we have not collected coins. I don't know where to begin! Honestly we have received coins from numerous generous collectors from around the globe. I have purchased thousands of coins myself (often duplicating, not on purpose). I have to travel about 150 miles to the nearest coin shop. I usually just go in the shop and ask to see their world coins. It is getting harder to find them as two of the three shops I have gone to quit having anything except silver coins. The third shop has drawers full, in alphabetical order. I got through the M's last time I went and that took me three hours. I buy whatever I can find and afford at the time. I don't think some of the places remaining on the list have ever been in the offerings. I don't know much about swapping and have only put a few coins as available for swap. Most of the time I have sent United States coins in exchange for the coins of the world. 

I will get my daughter to show me how to use my phone to get pictures on here. Most all our coins are in 2x2's but when I take pictures I will remove them.

I confirm, swapping with Numista is a great mean to get new countries and to meet collectors all around the world even though shipping fees are increasing ; but there is not only USPS in USA you can get less expensive rates at  ‘Budget economy’ or ‘Fedex Intl Connect’.
