¿Me estoy perdiendo de algo? Este es un billete de 1000 pesos, no el de 500?

Am I missing something? This is a 1000 pesos note, not the 500?

Thanks

Hello Josemaria1986, this is the English forum , please write in English. If you are not able to you can use an online translator and add it to your post.

About your question … it's just a stamp. Who made? I don't know, maybe a money changer or a private individual.

to Josemaria1986: This is the stamp of the exchange office confirming the authenticity of the banknote. This is not uncommon on South American banknotes. On battered notes can be found with a dozen stamps of different exchange offices. You are from Argentina and it is strange that you don't know this.

Perdón

you gotta admit the person stamping has a cool hand and creative mind to stamp it there. At first glance it does appear to be part of the design.

No. I can't agree. This is a common practice. And the location of the stamp is logical. Stamps are placed on the prepared amount before handing it out. With one hand, the cashier flips through the banknotes, stamps with the other hand. Each exchange office has its own stamp (flower, smiley face, abbreviation, simplified logo, etc.). And these stamps, as evidence of the reputation of exchange offices, should be recognizable. And the design element of a banknote will never overlap other elements.

to each their own. I base it on the countless half hearted exchange seals US notes get all the time, never uniform, never complete…. though obviously banks deal with a ton more dollars so it tracks. Yes i get no design would go over the serials, however its why i said “at first glance”
