this can not be searched with the proper km# km3.1 or km3.2, but only with the NOT EXISTING KM#3 (bravo Numista).

I never said that this is a general overdate for all 1925 coins!

My way of documenting obviously doesn't suit referees from Switzerland, so does that mean, that I should stop to enrich the knowledge of the numista members?

The comments from a Swiss referee ? I had the same discussion with his predecessor (also Swiss).

Thank you for your addition. However, the format submitted does not comply with the new Numista guidelines (text on images). Also, it seems that not all 1925 coins are overdated. I invite you to reiterate your request by following point 3.6 of the guidelines : "Avoid text on images in general, because it is not searchable, and especially avoid language-specific explanations. This allows annotated images to be used on both the English and French versions."

As far as KM.3 is concerned, Numista does not allow more than 5 references to be added. The KM.3 therefore allows the 3.1 and 3.2 references to be taken into account.

Peter's principle has reached Numista, or am I wrong?

Hello Ole,

Your documentation of varieties is greatly valuable. I added back your illustration of the 1 Rappen 1925/1924 overdate to the coin page, and I will discuss it with the referee.

It would be great if you could re-submit the change in compliance with that part of the guidelines, as requested by the referee. The objective of this part of the guidelines is to facilitate the translation of your documentation for the French catalogue and to allow other people to modify and enrich the documentation if needed in the future. Still, I believe it's far better to have the documentation in your current format than not at all.

Regarding KM sub-references. The referee is simply not able to add KM#3.1 and KM#3.2 because of the current limitation of the Numista software; no reason to blame him. Making the comments searchable already slightly improved the situation, and I plan to implement the possibility to add references to individual year lines in the coming months.

Ole - The work you do is invaluable. For your contributions to be rejected is inexplicable.

Hang in there and don't let this obviously upsetting turn of events get to you. I would appeal it.

Cheers Mike

I think our purpose here is to expand knowledge, accurately.

Rules ought to have flexibility so that non-standard cases can be taken into account.

Where annotated images are and used, might I suggest that the annotations be transcribed in the comments section, in both English and French.

Non-existent (or extrapolated) catalogue references should not be used. Normally, when doing an auction catalogue or a sales list, for example, the latest valid catalogue number of a reference would be used. In this case, I believe that would be KM 3.2.
