Please add Pound Sterling (-1970) as a currency for Wales. It is needed for notes such as this one.

Former Numista referee for banknotes from Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Saint Helena.

'Pound Sterling - Decimalised' also needs addition as well - as some of the Black Sheep Company of Wales notes were released after 15 February 1971.

Those issues have been moved to the “Promissory notes” section of exonumia. Do we have currencies in exonumia? If so, we'll need both the pre-decimal and decimal pound.

They should NOT have been moved to ‘Exonumia’, as they were a type of provincial note for circulation throughout Wales.

No they weren't. The last provincial notes were issued in 1921. These were one man's attempt to create a bank without going through the proper procedures. He got away with it for a time but ended up bankrupt. The issues sit well with the Postal Orders in the Exonumia section.

You should read this;

That's a nice list with many images. Maybe you could put all the types into Numista with those images (if the website owner is willing)?

I don't have the time, unfortunately - & I can't read Welsh anyway!

A perfectly reasonable response, there are a lot! Perhaps adding a link to this site in each of the existing entries we have would be helpful?
