I think this is a token from the Netherlands rather than a coin.
SCHUPPEN is Dutch for “Ships”
GOUDA is a city in the Netherlands (where they make great cheese).
I think that we have to read SCHUT.PEN, which would make it a ‘schutterspenning’, just as the subject of your earlier post.
Schutterij, or ‘shooting guild’ were voluntary civil guards in the Netherlands from the Middle ages up to appr. 1750.
Shooting guild tokens were not used as money, but rather affirmed the membership or service to the particular guild.
