Help identify copper token (Liverpool Condor token 1792) [solved]

7 posts • viewed 118 times

Hi,

firstly, apologies for the lack of any clear details on the coins / tokens. I got this In a bulk lot and this is the best I could get it. Not much to go on, but hoping someone with a much keener eye than me can help me to identify ?

size approx 29mm

appears to be copper

one side appears to show a pointed shield with crown, and the other is a 3 masted sailing ship of some kind.

many thanks

cheers

That obverse is giving me Cuba vibes, but I can't seem to find anything like it in the catalog.  They do like putting ships on their coins though…

Looks like a conder token

Perfect, thank you - now I have a reference, I can just make out the OOL of LiverpOOL above the ship …..  so it’s the second one, thank you very much, cheers
