7 posts • viewed 99 times

Recently a Japanese brought in bunch of random coins while most of them identified as Old Japanese coin found in catalogue, i couldn't find anything about this (or i might missed it)

Much appreciated for the help!!

Your first picture is the same as this second picture. Other sides different.

N#84877

Token collector [1600-1899] with some coins

Never mind.  I was confused.

The exact wording seems to be :

福寶 - lucky money

定義 如来 - Jogi Nyorai (a Buddhist temple, located in Sendai-shi, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan.)

南無阿彌陀佛

The exact wording seems to be :

福寶 (lucky money)

定義 (definition) To clearly define the content or meaning of a concept, word, etc., so that it can be distinguished from others. Also, its content and meaning.

如来 (Buddha)

南無阿彌陀佛

So i guess this is not proper coin to be collected then?

Sure it is !
