We have some “Onza” (Ounce) Bullion in the Mexico catalogue. As these are really just metal pieces and do not belong into Peso currency, these should be moved to Exonumia. Does anyone has any counter information to this issue?
Mexican bullion can be exchanged into pesos by the central bank at the current bullion value. I do not know when this transition occurred (i.e. bullion from the 1950-1970's), but the current series is exchangeable.

Yes, per the Mexican monetary law, these coins are considered part of Mexico's currency. Just like Some_Nerd correctly notes, they can be exchanged at the daily rate by the central bank.
Article 2 bis of the Ley Monetaria de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos, which I think was passed in 1986, gives more information about it:
I am trying to check the forum more often in order to keep up with this type of discussions. In the meantime, thank you for leaving them in the coins section!
