What you have is called coin alignment ↑↓ and that is normal for this coin.  It is not an error.  There were over 73 million of these coins minted so they are not worth much, maybe US $0.30 to $0.50.

That what is named destructive, most probably is the alignment of the sides.  It is just a question of habit. Some items have normal alignment, which is now named “medal, ” some of them have opposite alignment, and some have even an odd looking, like the medals, added to year sets in the Netherlands N#343321

In any case it is a part of tradition. Tradition is hard to be named destructive.
