UK P-357 Watermark Question

According to the comments in Numista Page  1 Pound - George V (Tresaury issue; 3rd series) - United Kingdom – Numista

the watermark for P-357 is “ONE POUND” in one line at the center. My copy has the “ONE POUND” in two lines above and below the printed “ONE POUND” on the front. In addition, there is a crown and GR in-between each time it has “ONE POUND”. I am wondering if the comments are incorrect or incomplete on the page. Is there a watermark variety that is not listed anywhere that I can find, of which I have?

Have a closer look at the comment section, if your watermark is across two lines, it is likely to be P#359.

Just because you can't see it ... doesn't mean it isn't there - Anon.

Good theory, but…..

If supposing the note I have is P359 then I have a variant of that as there is no “1” next to the block letter.

I need to hear from anyone that might have them in their collection to check. These are not super common notes.

My P-357 has 2 lines & GR on the bottom line (I believe).  I've looked at other Treasury notes (P-357 without the “1” above the block letter) & most have two lines as far as I can tell.  The top watermark is above the printed "ONE POUND" & is far more visible than the 2nd bottom watermark which overlaps the parliament building (mostly obscured).  I believe this is the source of the watermark confusion since it is barely visible on most images I've checked (including my UNC example). I will have to take mine out of my SDB (take a trip to my bank) & hold it up to a backlight for closer inspection.  I don't use my SCWPM for checks/verifications such as this. I have found it to be fairly inaccurate/or misleading & especially confusing for GB notes. Other sites have used the incorrect “1 line” watermark description assuming that SCWPM was correct instead of verifying them (its either that or the there's a 50-50 use of single line watermark & double lined watermark paper). The watermark doesn't have ONE POUND perfectly across the paper either- POU is cut off on the right side of my note & it is definitely not placed in the centre of the note. I would consider the comments on NUMISTA to be inaccurate at the moment (until we can further sort this matter out).

Here are the pages from the banknote yearbook 10th edition.

I have found that the location of the watermark varies a bit on these notes.

I would be willing to bet that the comment about only one line of watermark for P-357 is incorrect. Unless someone has physical proof of only one line of watermark, I think the comment should be corrected.
