Hello,

Can anyone help with this coin?

Thank you!

Never seen that kind of characters, token perhaps, or Chinese not at all.

Either token, fake or maybe a contemporary imitation from outside China?

Hi,

maybe a cash coin from Malay Peninsula (also Java, Bali), made of tin.

They used numerous copies of old chinese coins, locally made.

I'm in agreement with asimov37. Also would be glad to know where was this coin acquired.

Wow so interesting. So it's basically a fake or it really was made for circulation in Malay?

I bought from an antique fair. Cheap price

I would really appreaciate it, if anyone can add the coin here to numista, thank you!

Hi,

I have just found that such type listed in A Guide to Cash Coins by David Hartill.

However, the classification of the coin (e.g. coin/token/temple token, etc.) is still remain uncertain.

I will add a page anyways

Good luck

Any luck?

That depends on how efficient is the referee. A few days if lucky but also may take months.

The request is already validated.
