Israel: 1 lira 5719 years?

the Hebrew year 5719 is AD1959 , but in numista it's written 1958! On the coin itself you find the ADyear 1958, but I'm nearly sure that's not the year of the coin? So why the 1958 on the coin, is it some kind of commemorative coin for an event in 1958?

Of course it could be, that the engraver put the wrong year on the coin?

Anybody has the explanation?

Thanks in advance

As I have said many times - catalogue conversion of non-gregorian dates is wrong: the coin in question is minted in Hebrew year תשי"ט - between September 1958 and October 1959!

That doesn't explain why the date in Hebrew is different from the AD

But it is not: this Hebrew year begins in 1958 and ends in 1959, so that both AD are correct!
