North Ingria was a short-lived country which existed 1919-1920 between Finland and Russia after the Russian revolution.

Some details on it are here, Dead country stamps and banknotes:

https://www.dcstamps.com/north-ingria-1920/

and here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Ingria

The language of North Ingria is close to Finnish.

Although the first link states that no banknotes were issued, there were apparently notes created by overprinting Russian notes of the period.

This brings up the question as to whether or not these should be added to numista as North Ingria banknotes.

New issuer it is then. :)

EDIT: I was reading too fast. Is there an actual example of such note?

A good question, I'm glad you asked it!

Yes, I came across a picture of two examples of a note.

So we actually need issuer for this?

Catalogue administrator

I presume they were issued by the leaders of the North Ingrian administration.

I will enquire about the notes, and seek permission to use the images of them.

Any news so far on this?

Not yet. Still at pregather stage.

A little bump here :-)

Maybe close and reopen when relevant?

I have not forgotten about this, and will come back to it. It is tied to several items I have in progress with Finland entries.

I have the relevant pictures saved.

Ok, I just created it for you. It will be waiting for a first note.

(I placed it under Russia for the time being)

I will likely create it under Finland during the next expansion of Finland, and it can be moved then.
