Request for verification, valuation, and history of a 1895 medal with a woman blowing a trumpet and inscription "Dem verdienste

Hello everyone, I recently inherited a medal from 1895 and I would like to request your help in verifying and valuing it. The front of the medal features a woman blowing a trumpet, next to Cupid with a laurel crown. At the top, there is an inscription that reads "Dem verdienste", and at the bottom, there is a small inscription that says "W. Mayer Tutt". On the back of the medal, there is an inscription that reads "Provinzial Gewerbe Ausstellung Pose II 1895". Could someone please tell me what these inscriptions mean? Is it related to an event or is it just a decorative medal? Can someone also help me value this medal? Thank you in advance for any help and information!
