My first coin folder, but how do I use it?

Hello everyone!
I've been collecting since I was a kid, not extremely proactively but I have a decent collection stowed away in a metal box. I've noticed some of the coins getting a patina layer, so I want to store them a better way. Saw a coin folder in a creative shop today, but when I got home I have no idea how to use it.
The squares are made up out of inserts, when I put coins in them they all fall to the bottom. Am I missing something?

Yours truly, a noob.

Welcome to numista,

Insert the coins sideways, hmmhhh? Any other questions about the ways of inserting objects in limited space?

By looking at the picture you have provided, isn't that you insert the coins into the sleeve individually, and then place the same sleeve into the larger sleeve to hold the coins from falling out?

Or you are not holding the sleeve the right side up?

I'm not sure how to explain it, the picture should be turned to the left one time. There's a bunch of different plastic sleeves witht different sizes in it, and in the sleeves there are these plastic things with the sectioning on it. The only thing I could think of to use it properly is by using tape to put the coins secure in/on their own little square. There's nothing stopping the coins from all falling down to the bottom in the sleeve. 🤔

How big are the squares?  2in. X 2in. maybe?  Have you tried using coin flips with them?
