Just been looking into where I can find new general circulation coins in Holland as I'm due to go over there for business in a few months. It seems that, unless you are lucky enough to spot new coins in a shop till somewhere and ask for them in your change, you have almost no chance of finding them.
The banks only give coins to people with an account, the machines will only issue coins or accept coins from someone with an account, the post office only issues coins from the till as loose change for a purchase, and apparently a lot of shops somewhat frown upon people who want to exchange coins, almost as if they can't readily get them themselves. Is it possible to purchase coin rolls there, or are these restricted to account holders only too?
Any suggestions? Why?
