Please help to identify- Token or medal?

Didnt find this one anywhere.

To state the obvious, it looks like it's a commemorative medallion from the Delhi Durbar, a coronation event for King George V as Emperor of India.

Like the medal I've just found to commemorate the allied victory in 1919 (below), there may be multiple types of these medallions and nobody now has any real idea of what, when, why or who produced them.  As for value, it's unlikely to be worth very much, unless it's made from a precious metal (especially in that condition).

Please take the time to add it to the catalogue so that we can all see what you've found - maybe someone will find a better example or have a bit more information.

Yes I agree it is a Delhi Durbar 1911 AD token/ medal. It seems more like a medal because the loop of the medal seems have to be taken out from the top and it has been rubbed.
The only thing is I have not seen a Durbar medal/ medal with coat of arms (as I have come to know it is of Victoria).

I would be keen to put it in the catalogue if you could please guide me.

The easiest way for the first time of doing this is to find a similar token.  At the bottom of the page you will see a section called ‘Contribute to the catalogue’ in blue.  Below that you have 3 options:

I would suggest the 3rd option - ‘Duplicate this page’.  You can then delete the data you don't want and add in your own observations of your own item.  Just make sure that ALL the unwanted data is removed, otherwise you will still get links to the original page.  By using this method you can use an existing format so that your item is then picked up when people are searching for other similar items.

Alternatively, you can start from scratch under ‘Add it yourself’.  This is at the bottom of any selection of coins, banknotes, or exonumia (i.e. wage tokens - below).   NOTE:  I try to put as much information about the item into a new page as possible under ‘Comments’ so that other people then have some information about the item and its history should they want to do their own research - not everyone does this, but it can really help.

Hope this is OK and helps.

Was a medal more important if there was Coats of Arms?
